Built between 1905 and 1912 in brick with a metal structure, this station is now a cultural center.
Built between 1905 and 1912 according to the plans of the architect Emilio Jecquier, this station saw the passage of trains to Valparaíso, the north of the country and Mendoza. Its architecture integrates a brick construction and a metal structure imported from Belgium and France. Disused after decades of good and loyal service, the station has been classified as a National Monument and transformed into an exhibition centre. Today it is an important cultural centre in Santiago where exhibitions and theatrical performances are organized.
