3 km north of Manali, on the opposite bank. This small, peaceful village is the preferred place of residence for tourists who want to stay a long time in Manali, but in a quiet environment. It owes its fame to its sulphurous hot springs. The river-side guesthouses offer extraordinary views of the mountains and valley. Don't miss the traditional annual festival in April. In winter, everything is closed, so food is hard to come by. But the few accommodations that are open offer very attractive discounts. If you're staying in Old Manali, a half-day visit is sufficient.
