105 km northwest of Ahmedabad. This small town is at the entrance to Rann de Kutch, a semi-desert area where the last wild donkeys in Asia, the khurs. You need a Jeep to cross these hostile plains. Contact the tourism office or a private agency, such as North West Safaris. Visits organize from November to March. Gazelles, antelopes, wolves, hyenas and fennecs can be seen there.
