Of the ancient capital of the Bhatti, there remains only a group of Jain temples restored in the 18th century. The most remarkable of them is dedicated to Parshvanath, 23rd tirthankar of the community. According to the legend, a thousand-headed cobra protected Parshvanath from a flood unleashed by a demon. As a sign of gratitude and worship, the priests of Lodurva place a bowl of milk every day for a cobra that is believed to reside behind the temple walls.
