Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan in India, is a popular tourist destination for its magnificent palaces, forts and temples. For travelers wishing to reach Jaipur by air, Jet Airways is an option to consider. Jet Airways is an Indian airline offering flights to Jaipur from various cities in India and abroad.

Metro Cabs is the largest cab company in Jaipur. In a decade, it has developed a fleet of over 500 vehicles, all air-conditioned and non-smoking. All vehicles are also insured for passenger transportation. You can use this company for your trips in and around the city, but also for long distance trips: Delhi, Indira Gandhi airport, Pushkar, Jodhpur, etc. The company also offers City Tours and sightseeing tours in the region (Golden Triangle, Thar Desert, Agra...).

The Jaipur railway station is located in the center of the city. You will find a pre-paid rickshaw counter at the exit of the station and many touts who will try to dissuade you from going there. The area around the station (as well as the city during the day) is extremely congested, so it's best to plan ahead if you have a train to catch. From Jaipur, you can get to almost anywhere in the country by train. L

Jaipur airport is located 12 km south of the city and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the city center, excluding traffic. At peak times, it can take two to three times longer. You can reach the major Indian cities via direct flights: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi... The airport is also connected to the international market via some flights from the Middle East. From Delhi, flights are often fully booked, and it is better to book your ticket in advance.

Despite the noise and the crowd, the bus station is well organized and it is easy to find your bus. There is a locker to drop your luggage. Many buses are posted from Jaipur to cities in the state and neighboring states. You can choose between express and deluxe buses. The deluxe ones are much more comfortable, therefore much more expensive and with a lower frequency. Seats can be reserved at computerized ticket offices.

After years of work that turned the city of Jaipur upside down, the metro is finally operational. It has a single line, and from a tourist point of view, only a few stations are worthy of interest. The line serves the Jaipur railway station and the old town of Jaipur with the stations Chandpole, Chhoti Chaupar and Badi Chaupar. The metro runs between 6:20 am and 9:50 pm. There is a Tourist Card valid for 1 day or 3 days which allows unlimited travel. But it is of little interest because of the limited number of stations.
