Visit to discover former slaughterhouses transformed into a living cultural center in Casablanca.
This industrial building was built in 1912, during the first urban planning works undertaken by the French army to clean up the old medina. Slaughterhouses operated from 1920 to 2000 before being abandoned. Today, they serve as a platform for several associations to express themselves. This "cultural factory" hosts painting exhibitions, plays, film screenings and concerts. The premises are supervised by the association Casa Mémoire, which has transformed them into a living cultural centre.
