This large village, situated at an altitude of 1,800 m, enjoys an exceptional geographical location: the southern slope of the hillside is made up of splendid and fertile orchards, while the nearby Imarene wadi allows for the cultivation of an abundance of fruit and vegetables. The village itself, once a centre for the supply of crops, is of little interest, except for the view it offers of the rugged mountains to the north and the beautiful valley immortalized by the painter Jacques Majorelle on his mule trips through the region. A great tranquility reigns in this town. The landscape is even more impressive in spring, when one can admire, behind the silhouette of the Kasbah of Glaoui, the white spots left by the last snows on the Gebel Ghat.
