At the gateway to the Toubkal National Park, this mountain hamlet is well known to sports enthusiasts and other hikers who come to climb the Jebel . However, more and more curious visitors are beginning to arrive. If you're coming by car, park at the entrance to the village and walk to the small, shady square from which you can explore the village. At an altitude of 1,800 m, the air here is invigorating and pure. For those without vehicles, there's another solution: from Marrakech (64 km), take the local bus to Asni, departing almost every hour from Bab Rob, and then a shared cab to Imlil. The village has a typical Berber countryside feel, which can be explored in a day or two. You can also plan to visit the neighboring hamlets, surrounded by walnut trees, if you want to get a bit of height. If you want to extend your stay, there's a wide selection of small, mostly modest inns to choose from. Fancy a real trek? Don't hesitate to consult the local guide office and ask to be accompanied on your adventure. An excursion takes you to the Sidi Chamharouch marabout, but you'll need good walking shoes to climb safely along the stony mule paths. You'll cross orchards and small waterfalls. In winter, caution is advised, as the region is regularly affected by flooding.
