18 km from Zagora, this palm grove is home to a famous zaouia, founded in the 16th century by the theologian Ahmed Ali Ansari Al Tamegroute. The tomb of the great scholar, Mohammed Ibn Nasir, founder of the brotherhood of nasiriya, is located within the mosque. The journey from Tamegroute to Zagora can be done by bus or taxi. There are no signs indicating the village. Coming from Zagora, you will see on the left a large mosque with a green roof: you are there. Visitors can visit the outside patio of the mosque, but non-Muslims will not be allowed to enter the zawiya. The library is located in the main street of Tamegroute.
