This village offers a very interesting visit, especially with its impressive mellah. The narrowness of the streets accentuates the height of the ramparts. You will enjoy walking between the palm trees and the dunes of the palm grove along the Drâa. The last Jews left Amazraou in 1958, and the village is now populated by the Draoui, nomads from Sudan. Here, contrary to the usual practice, the western gate was used by the Jews and the eastern gate by the Muslims. Inside, the old synagogue is in ruins. Further on, the taghadirt, a former lookout post, overlooks the valley, offering breathtaking views.
