Aït Ben Haddou is located about ten kilometers from Taborahte, a village located on the road to Marrakech. Two kilometers before the entrance of the village, a small promontory along the road offers a splendid view on the whole ksar, the Ouarzazate wadi and the market gardens. The Ksar, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1987, has been the subject of restoration work. It is built on the left bank of theasif (the valley), on a hillside. Its exceptional location has made it the main location for films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, Gladiator or and Games of Thrones in 2014
