Founded in 1060 by Matilda of Flanders, wife of William the Conqueror, the Ladies’ Abbey was the home of a community of Benedictine nuns for more than seven centuries. Today, an administrative site in the Normandy region, the abbey organises guided tours in summer of the old monastery buildings and the Abbey of the Holy Trinity, whose design is a marvellous illustration of Norman Romanesque architecture. Ideal for discovering the rich history of this abbey.

L'abbatiale de la trinité d art roman abrite la tombe de Mathilde épouse de Guillaume le conquérant. C'est aujourd'hui le siège du conseil régional. Visite guidée d'1h15 environ tous les jours à 14h30 et à 16h.

Très complètes, elles expliquent l'histoire du bâtiment... avec des guides très intéressant. Recommandé !
