80TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY

This year is a special one, as it marks the ^80th anniversary of the Allied landings on the Normandy beaches, and perhaps the last opportunity to meet first-hand witnesses to those heroic days. In Calvados and Manche, commemorations and festivities will be numerous. In addition to official events, including one attended by numerous heads of state, the whole of Normandy will be alive with festivities, exhibitions and events.
