FESTIVAL ASPECTS DES MUSIQUES D'AUJOURD'HUI

Under the direction of Stéphane Béchy, the Aspects des Musiques d’Aujourd’hui Festival promotes contemporary musical creation each year through a guest composer. A superb posthumous tribute to Henri Dutilleux marked the 2014 session, composer Michael Jarrell for the year 2015 and Edith Canat de Chizy was in the spotlight in 2016. The 2019 edition promises to be just as sumptuous: composer Thierry Pécou, a key figure in contemporary music, is the guest of the 37th edition. To note in the first part, very often, concerts proposed by the students of the Caen Conservatory.
