Shortly after Maga and the beautiful lake of the same name, we reach the village of Pouss. This picturesque village, with its lanes shaded by roasting palms, is famous for its market and its sultanate, but above all for its famous mousgoum shell huts. These huts, which have unfortunately recently been replaced by ordinary round ones, are among the most beautiful and tallest in Africa, and bear witness to the architectural skills of the Mousgoum tribe. From Pouss, you can also take a pirogue trip on the Logone River to the town of Yagoua, further south, on the border with Chad.
