Travel Guide Dartlo

Dartlo is a superb set of defensive towers so typical of Touchetie. The picturesque village is inhabited in summer. Above, the group of defensive towers of Kvavlo is also photogenic; they are deserted. Above Dartlo, there is still the village of Dano, which offers superb views. Hiking on horseback or trekking in Touchetie allows you to admire panoramas so grandiose that you feel as if you are getting closer to the sky - or almost - and to immerse yourself in the myths and beliefs born in these villages. In Dartlo, some of the defensive towers are of Chechen origin. A tower overlooking a gorge preserves an icon of Saint Theodore. Beer is still brewed in this village.
