From Vani, it is a superb excursion to go up the Soulori valley, which plunges into the steep relief of the Lesser Caucasus. The route is very spectacular. You can set your sights on the former spa town of Soulori, now abandoned after being a popular spa in the Soviet era, to explore the area. The sanatoriums are still open, but the infrastructure is damaged. Nevertheless, the site is pleasant. One can even find rooms for rent in one of the sanatoriums, lost in the mountains. One can also taste the delicious spring water of the resort.
