This historic flea market currently offers antiques, paintings and everything in between.
This flea market embodies a page of history, a radical turning point in Georgia. In 1991, the Soviet Union disappears. With it, whole sections of the economy, held at arm's length by the Russian collectivist system, were wiped out. Georgian society is plunged into misery. You have to survive, so you go to the market and sell all your goods with a minimum of value. Antique books, furniture, crockery, medals, Soviet army caps, portraits of Lenin... At present, this market offers antiques, paintings and everything!
