In the heart of the historic district, it is one of the most remarkable in Strasbourg. It has been Lutheran since 1524. Points of interest: a 7th century tomb crypt, a cloister with 11th century arcaded galleries, chapels and sumptuous vaulting on cross vaults, frescoes, rood screen, slabs and funerary monuments, a central painting of the high altar, all from the end of the Gothic period (14th century), an organ by Jean André Silbermann whose fame extends beyond the region, the pulpit, and an altarpiece. A must see: the human-sized statue of the angel at the back of the choir.
