Café-restaurant revisiting the gourmet traditions of the region in Strasbourg.
Le Troquet des Kneckes is a café-restaurant dedicated to Alsace and its dialect. The walls are decorated with Alsatian expressions and their translations (the saucy ones are in the toilet!). On the à la carte menu, in addition to the menu of the day, you'll find low-cost twists on the region's gastronomic traditions - tarte flambée with salmon and honey, Vietnamese pot-au-feu, fish and kneckes - combining them with a specialty from elsewhere. Sundays are brunch days, and on Tuesday evenings, you can learn Alsatian for free with an ad hoc teacher.
