The river width reached 3 km near Abalakovo where, in 1967, the Trans-Siberian branch was mapped. Shortly after the "taureaux of Bourmakino" that shake "the cheeks" of the Yenisey, the boat arrives in the town of bois wood, Lessosibirsk. It was once a dynamic city whose entire economy was based on wood. Today, it offers only désertes or productives plants in decrepit decor. In the great Soviet era, the towns along the Yenisey had a reputation for being prosperous and enjoyable. The'continental ' (European Russians), who had doubled their wages in Siberia, were receiving regular supplies, the remoteness of Moscow and a wilderness nature. Nowadays, wood is no longer paying, low production is sold to China at derisory prices and there is no investment. River tourism, currently almost exclusively local, could well represent the region's salvation.
