In the west of the palace, this mountain has always been the induction of any new sultan, even when the city is relocated to Abéché. Its summit is equipped with a platform (20 m x 30 m) pyramidal, assimilated to the constellation of Des. During this week, the people, at the foot of the mountain, went to a huge popular feast with camel races, musics, dances, contes tales and various banquets… Took advantage of it to blind any potential rival of the new overlord…
