The town of Sinaw is signposted to the right on the main road, you have to cross it to continue towards Masirah. Once you enter the village, at the first roundabout (the Oman Arab Bank roundabout), turn right to access the souk. It is a closed market, delimited by two large metal gates. Its shops, glued together, offer jewellery, spices, clothes, fabrics or... camels! In the centre of the souk is the fruit and vegetable market. The atmosphere is very lively, especially in the morning when the locals fill up.On leaving the market, cross the road and take the street on the right. It leads to the old Sinaw. The old village, built on a ledge, is composed of three distinct districts that can be reached on foot by following the path that goes into the palm grove and along the houses. Each of these districts is dominated by a tower that watches over houses that are now completely deserted, even if they are still in fairly good condition. From old Sinaw, the view embraces the ochre-orange sand expanses of the Sharqiya Sands: a timeless spectacle that is well worth a short stop. Those who continue southward can take advantage of this break in Sinaw to solve any problems or make up for any omissions. The majority of shops and other services can be found on the main street that crosses the city: Internet cafe, banks, restaurants, mini-markets, coffee shops... Sinaw is also, on the road to Duqm, the last petrol station with always full tanks
