Situated on the road to Al-Ashkharah, this Ibadite village has for many years maintained a feud with a rival tribe whose village is just a few kilometers away: the Bani Bu Ali, Wahhabi Sunnis. The number of forts, watchtowers and surrounding walls in the region gives an idea of what these rivalries were like! Renovated, the citadel is one of the most beautiful in the region. It's all the more worth a visit given that it's often overlooked by tourists in a hurry to get to the sands. The surroundings are visually scenic and varied: desert to the west, mountains to the east.
