RAS AL-JINZ TURTLE RESERVE
Petit Futé's opinion on RAS AL-JINZ TURTLE RESERVE
Less a hotel than 19 rooms in a scientifically based structure designed for ecotourism: no garden, no swimming pool, few windows to limit nuisance. A few hundred meters away, 12 luxury tents offer similar comfort (private bathroom, living room, air conditioning' ) in a slightly less monastic atmosphere and with the advantage of a terrace. We are in the heart of the reserve, that's the advantage. Also restaurant, shop, museum. Beach accessible from 8h to 13h30.
Information on RAS AL-JINZ TURTLE RESERVE
Single/double from 69 OMR in high season, breakfast and taxes included, 89 OMR for a tent.
Owner's Message RAS AL-JINZ TURTLE RESERVE
Ras Al Jinz is a fishing village located in the Ras Al Hadd, on the eastern shores of the Arabian Peninsula. The Ras Al Jinz beach is world renown for the nesting endangered green turtle (Chelonia mydas), probably the most important nesting concentration on the Indian Ocean. This is the only official place where the public can watch the nesting process of these amazing sea giants.
