As soon as you walk through the door, the oriental atmosphere envelops you. Welcome to the enchanted world of gilding! The lobby sets the tone with its Sultanian dome, stained glass windows and princely staircases. Renovated in 2023, the 280 rooms and suites are equipped with true palace comfort. The culinary offer is varied (Marjan, Tuscany, John Barry Bar...) and there is even a temple of entertainment in the annex with a bar, discotheque and grill. L’hotel est plutôt vieillissant. Peu de chambres ont une vue pleine sur la mer. La notre qui était censée en avoir une, avait aussi la vue sur le parking. La plage devant l’hotel n’a rien d’exceptionnel à cet endroit et nous ne nous y sommes d’ailleurs pas baignés. Elle est publique et il n’y a donc pas de transat sur le sable. Du coup, ceux de la piscine sont toujours bondés. Le staff n’est pas plus sympathique que ça. Bref, le seul point réellement positif est le club où on peut se restaurer « gratuitement ». Pour un endroit vraiment exceptionnel, préférez sans hésiter le Shangri la. Certes il est éloigné de tout, mais comme Mascate est une ville très étendue, rien n’est vraiment proche
