Taberna do Félix, located between Braga's Sé Cathedral and Arco da Porta Nova, is a small restaurant with a family atmosphere whose excellent reputation has won over a good part of the Braga population. The hosts take special care to pamper their guests in search of traditional cuisine with that warm Portuguese good humor. For example, you will enjoy a very good robalo grelhado or a cod in cream sauce that you will remember for a long time. Excellent selection of wines. Reservations are recommended, especially in high season.

Since 1926, this restaurant has earned its credentials thanks to its wood-fired cooking, typical of the Minho, and the careful service handed down from generation to generation. On the menu: wood-grilled cabri, cod gratin with cream and other delicious and sometimes little-known dishes from the region. The wine list is excellent, classified by regions of Portugal. If the entrance seems unwelcoming, push on to the back room with its small square tables, decorated with naive tiles. Here, cod is king, cooked in a popular, authentic way. The vinho verde is on the barrel (no, not in the cask). The dishes served here are not the lightest, that's what makes the reputation of the place. The frequentation is very local and composed of regulars. There are also very good desserts, for those who still have some space left.

Unlike the traditional establishments in the city, the dominant feature of this restaurant is its fusion cuisine. A colorful, cheerfully noisy room with an open kitchen awaits you as well as dishes that change every month. Priority is given to sauces from elsewhere. The cod fritters are inspired by Asia.
