Lost behind the hills of the Alto Douro, this municipality flows quietly through its days to the rhythm of the great river that rocks it and the mountains that dominate it. Cruises of one to three hours depart from the banks. By car, take the magnificent N222 that runs along the Douro, probably one of the prettiest roads in Portugal. But be careful, it is narrow, it turns a lot and there is quite a lot of traffic. By camper van, do not go down near the river because the access is tricky. Around it, you will discover the most famous quintas of the Douro valley. Pinhão and its surroundings are undoubtedly one of the most beautiful landscapes of the region.
