To get there, take the N341 towards Coimbra. It is a 580 ha wetland ecological reserve, home to wild ducks and chameleons. It was created to protect the environment of the Ribeira de Cernache, near the Mondego. The area has an abundance of water, which has allowed it to see a very diverse and humid vegetation that attracts several animal species. Some birds live there permanently while others stop there during their migratory journey. The heron is the symbol of this nature reserve. Inside you can enjoy a walk of about 2 hours, on a small 3 km route.
