From the outside, this church appears quite modest. Yet it would be a shame to turn away, given the magnificence of its interior and the simplicity of its façade. This Mannerist, Baroque church, whose construction began in the 16th century, has a longitudinal plan with a single nave, choir, sacristy and bell tower. The interior was refurbished in the 18th century, with the altarpiece and gilded wood carvings contrasting strikingly with the sumptuous blue azulejos.
