For a week, the centre of Silves is transformed into a large medieval souk.

During the Medieval Fair, in August, the center of Silves is transformed into a perfect medina. Streets and squares are invaded by troubadours, animations, dance groups, birds and other reptiles. Street theaters tell the epic of the kings, poets and legends of the Taifa period. The women dressed as Moorish princesses and the men as horsemen are a delight for the eyes. In fact, to play the game to the fullest, you can even rent a costume on site.

Au pied du chateau ou à lieu un spectacle différent chaque soir et durant 10 jours, cette fete médiévale est la sortie obligatoire à faire a là mi aout en Algarve. Des stands pour boire et manger, des spectacles de rues, des déguisements, ... Le tout pour 5€ L entrée et le spectacle. Il faut également dans la journee visiter Monchique tout à côté.
