Church with walls covered with azulejos panels and a choir with paintings from the XVII century.
This church was built in the 16th century on the remains of a Visigothic necropolis. It was damaged during the earthquake. The walls of this church are covered with azulejos panels dating from 1748 representing scenes from the Apocalypse and the life of the Virgin. The choir contains 17th century paintings evoking Saint Teresa of Avila, signed by Josefa de Obidos. On the ceiling, a painting by José Malhoa depicts the patron saint.
