Museum in Lisbon, with a beautiful collection of documents, housing a private cabin of English style and in perfect condition.
Built in the 19th century as an extension of the Jerónimos, on the site from which Vasco de Gama set sail in 1497, this is the perfect place for model makers! A fine collection of documents: maps, sextants and miniature ships from the time of the discoveries to the present day. Not forgetting the English-style private cabin, in perfect condition, of King Dom Carlos and Queen Dona Amélia, on the yacht Amélia, dismantled in 1938. A museum that preserves in time the epic of the Portuguese on the oceans.

Superbe musée situé dans une aile du monastère à Belém. Une quantité spectaculaire de magnifiques maquettes ainsi que de nombreux instruments de navigation, de peintures. Le tout pour 6,5 €
Superb museum (even for the land) in a building that is worth a look in itself. Many models, objects and archives explained.
