Church located in Amsterdam, built in 1631 by Pieter de Keyser, became a symbol of the Jordaan district
Currently under renovation, this magnificent church will be unveiled in 2024. It was built in 1631 by Pieter de Keyser to plans drawn up by his father, Hendrick. A symbol of the Jordaan, even though it's located just outside. Rembrandt is buried here, but exactly where is not known. The church's sober interior lends itself to introspection. The 85-metre-high bell tower offers a sublime view of the Jordaan, and the carillon is renowned. The Westermarkt square is also home to a statue of Anne of Green Gables
