Every year, a tulip garden is created on the Dam. The audience can then compose their own bouquet of tulips.

Every year, in the dead of winter, Dam Square, the setting for the Royal Palace, is transformed into a photogenic tulip garden. This comical celebration attracts many tourists and locals alike, who can first admire the spectacle of an original bridge created for the occasion! At 1 p.m., the garden is officially inaugurated by a prestigious guest, after which the public can enter and compose a bouquet of around twenty tulips per person.

Nous avons eu la chance et bonne surprise de visiter Amsterdam le jour de la fete nationale des tulipes (20 janvier). Des milliers de tulipes sont deposées place du Dam et offertes a la cueillette aux visiteurs ou locaux qui font sagement la queue pour repartir avec un bouquet bien garni.
Petite astuce : pour prendre de la hauteur et avoir une vue surplombante de l'évènement ne pas hésiter a monter au dernier etage du H&M sur la place.
