The exhibition Caravaggio-Bernini, the Baroque in Rome offers a journey into the world of two creators who inspired a new generation of artists in the beautiful city of Rome in the 17th century. The new artistic language created by the painter Le Caravaggio and the sculptor Le Bernin turned towards emotion, and this is how the Baroque was born. A dynamic art, made of drama and theatrical dimensions and where several artistic practices meet, painting, sculpture but also architecture. The exhibition in Amsterdam's famous museum offers visitors the opportunity to discover more than 70 masterpieces by Caravaggio and Bernini and their contemporaries.
