The Driefontein farm developed from 1845, when the Presbytère-Reinet presbytery was extended. At that time, the name of the Duke of Richmond, the brother-in-law of the governor of Cape Town, was chosen. Travellers who embark on the crossing will find here a charm superior to that of Colesberg. The opportunity to see a beautiful church built in 1854, the chair of which is considered the highest in the country, and perhaps to visit the horse museum, one of the only two in the world! We're well among African cowboys!
