We have left the gentle vineyards of the Breede Valley, crossed the mountain over the small Cogman Pass, where the leather of the earth wrinkles like an old man's skin, and in a few kilometres we are transported to another world, that of the Karoo. The Cape region is spoiled by nature. Montagu is one of its jewels. This small village of 9,500 inhabitants, founded in 1851 between the Keisie and Kingna rivers, produces a very good muscatel wine and lots of fruit. Historic monuments and summits. At nightfall, you can have the bath of your life in the tropical spa before returning to the R62, one of the most beautiful in the country.
