Mui Né beach stretches for some 50 kilometers along the coast between Phan Thiết and the Mui Né peninsula. The city is sometimes nicknamed "Little Russia". Menus in Cyrillic indicate the presence of a Russian diaspora enjoying the warmth of the tropics. In recent years, however, this presence has tended to diminish, and Chinese and European tourists have become increasingly numerous. Mui Né offers many opportunities for water sports, especially kitesurfing. But beware: strong winds frequently sweep through the resort, and swimming can often prove dangerous.
