Between Dà Lat and Buôn Ma Thuôt, the lake of Lak is a still preserved natural site. It was one of the favorite resorts of the emperor Bao Dai, who had built a hunting residence there. It now welcomes travelers. To the south of the lake lies the mnông village of Jun: discovery of elephants, possibility of trekking and canoeing on the lake. This is a recommended stopover, still spared from mass tourism and sheltered from the frenzy that has taken over the cities of the highlands, such as Buôn Ma Thuôt. Going north towards Ban Me Thuot, the lake is 140 km from Dà Lat and 45 km from Buon Ma Thuot
