To the north of Pontevedra, at the mouth of the Río Ulla, it is the largest and most indented of all the rías. Nestled in a deep indentation, the Ría d'Arousa, still peaceful a few years ago, has become the epicentre of summer tourism. The development of Vilagarcía de Arousa, a large industrial port, and the small peninsula of O Grove, where thousands of holidaymakers are concentrated, is in the process of suffocating this part of the coast. As for Ribeira, on the other side of the ría, it is an important fishing port with vast warehouses, but it is of very little interest. However, you will be able to enjoy delicious seafood there.
