Between mountains, beaches and wetlands, Santoña is a place worth a stop. To get there from Santander, you take a road that crosses a landscape of marshes, recognized as being of national ecological importance. The city also has some beautiful beaches and three historical forts, set in the middle of a natural park. Another point of interest is the Punta del Caballo lighthouse, which can be reached on foot via a staircase of almost 700 steps, and which offers a superb view of the sea. Around the San Antonio square, you will find many restaurants and cafes. On the other side of town, along Playa San Martin, a few restaurants stretch out in front of the sea
