Grigoris and his son Yiannis have been boasting since 1980 that they have the best fish in the region. It must be said that they belong to a family of fishermen who like to cook different Cretan specialties in addition to the "king fish", always fresh. On the menu there is a wide variety of traditional dishes. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Paleo promenade and offers a direct view of the Libyan sea. You can sit back and watch the waves while enjoying the seafood. Check the menu for the price per kilo of fresh fish.

A very laid back traditional Greek taverna with good oven dishes that you can see in the kitchen and friendly family staff. Try their lamb dishes with their own farm red wine. All in a quiet taverna with low volume greek music and good quality furniture. Perfect for spending a couple of hours or more over a meal.

A calm, spacious traditional taverna where you can enjoy really good Greek food while being able to hear the conversation of partner or friends. Not frantic or crushed in, instead it is relaxed and peaceful with excellent family service.

Δυστυχώς μετά που άλλαξε η διεύθυνση χάλασε πάρα πολύ η ποιότητα και η ποσότητα του φαγητού. Λυπάμαι πολύ, ήταν από τις καλύτερες επιλογές στην Παλαιόχωρα. Όσο για τις τιμές ας το αφήσουμε ασχολίαστο....

Ήρθαμε αρχές Σεπτέμβρη, το φαγητό αρκετά ξερό και γενικά μέτριο, πολυ κατώτερο σε σχέση με όσα είχαμε συνηθίσει στην Κρήτη. Επίσης σχετικά απότομη η εξυπηρέτηση. Είναι λίγο άσχημο να μιλάει άψογα ο πελάτης και απότομα αυτός που εξυπηρετεί. Υπάρχουν μακράν καλυτερες ταβέρνες στην Παλαιόχωρα
