On the edge of the medina, the only luxury hotel in Kairouan is housed in a former barracks from the Ottoman era. Architectural success for this 5-star hotel which has kept all the authenticity of the place. Arranged around a large and magnificent swimming pool, the rooms are superb: walls adorned with tiles and woodwork, loggias decorated with moucharabiehs. The Moorish café is located in the oldest parts of the barracks, beautifully restored. Good buffet breakfast. Very good reception, warm and professional.

Beautiful architecture. But the staff is not very friendly. The cleaning is far from corresponding has what you would expect from a 5 star!
