The road from Menzel Temime to Korba is 27 km long. One will be surprised when arriving at Chabani, a kind of oasis in a conquering greenery of eucalyptus and olive trees which deserves a stop. We can take advantage of it to make a detour towards the villages of the interior, as Tafelloune. We go along a lagoon of pale water and marshes which precedes the sea of a deep blue. Here stretches a long beach of 15 km, not developed, but being able to offer some beautiful pictures, particularly at the end of the day. We then arrive in Korba, this city dating from the Roman era and nicknamed the "red city" for its tomatoes, peppers and strawberries. Dominated by its four-story minaret, topped by a fine bell tower, the town is lively and representative of the Cape Bon, rural and maritime at the same time. Called Curubis in Roman times, the small town has long held a festival of amateur theater in August, one of the oldest festivals in the country. Moreover it gave to the theater and culture famous names, such as Nacer Khemir or Hédi Khelil. The region is rural, the fields are cultivated and the tourist facilities are still quite discreet. Sometimes you can follow the sea from a distance, in the middle of rushes and reeds, pines and prickly pears. The white sand beaches that follow one another are as pleasant as those of Hammamet and Nabeul and offer the advantage of being much less crowded.
