A nice surprise that this Bed & Breakfast located in the middle of nature, at 1/4 of an hour from the airport and the center of Alajuela! Mathieu and Nidia, a French-Costa Rican couple with a friendly welcome, offer travelers 5 spacious rooms (40 m²), with a modern wooden architecture on stilts and individual terraces overlooking the rainforest. Continental breakfast is served right outside the door, at the time of your choosing. Pibi Boreal is ideal for a first night in Costa Rica, an excellent introduction for those who appreciate nature.

After a long day of travel, we were thrilled with our stay here. We were warmly greeted and shown to Room 5 with plenty of space and a magnificent view. Sitting on the balcony, we slipped quickly into vacation mode. Great dinner recommendations. Lovely grounds to walk around. Safe and secure surroundings. And a lovely breakfast delivered to our room in the morning. A great start to our first time in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

We booked this hotel because it was near the airport and we arrived in San Jose late. But the rooms are spectacular, with a terrace overlooking a jungle. The owners are amazing. We wish we had booked them on our last night before we return to the airport to fly home.

They bring breakfast to your door so that you can eat on your terrace. The breakfast was simple (fresh fruit, croissants, toast, and coffee) but it hit the spot.

I am sitting on our patio, overlooking the forest, watching birds and sipping coffee. Hotel Pibi is a respite after our 3 weeks of travel in Costa Rica. What a perfect place to be before heading to the airport and home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
