Located between the second street and the second avenue, it is the heart of San José. The largest kiosk in Costa Rica, which was donated by Nicaragua, marks its nerve center and is one of the best known meeting points for Costa Ricans. Often you can contemplate various artistic and musical activities, under the pleasant shadows of the vegetation. To the east is the Catedral Metropolitana, which was visited by John Paul II in the early 1980s, and to the north is the Teatro Melico Salazar, one of the most important in the country.

Place imposante, entourée de bâtiments dont certaines avec de belles façades anciennes, avec son grand kiosque au centre. Lieu de passage et de rassemblement des ticos.
