Take the local bus from Lhasa to Mezzogonggar, along the Kyichu, and ask to get down at half-way in Nonda. Right, opens the Gyama valley. On foot, or better in tillers or other vehicle, it remains to travel 14 km until the end of the runway in Jogsumba, starting point of the trek.Easier than the trek from Ganden to Samye, this route offers comparable interest. It can be done in four days.
