Located about 104 km from Barga, you can reach the city via a road to either Jeep or an Indian pilgrims bus. The path from Nepal or India goes to Purang. This market city was born at the crossroads of three trade routes. The nomads come to barter barley, wool, salt and cattle from rice from Nepal. The Nepalese market is a camp where you can eat and find all the wonders of the Kathmandu Valley. The Monastère monastery is carved in the rock. Frescoes with beautiful but unfortunately damaged colours adorn the interior of the two chapels which appear dating back to the same time as those of Guge. Little is known about the history of this place. A sutra mentioned that Sudhana, hero of a Buddhist epic, lived there. At the top of the cliff, you can see the ruins of a fortified castle and those of the monastery of Simbiling, destroyed in 1966.
