We are only 3 000 m high in Tibetan marches, yet it is Tibet. This small town is a very pleasant first step, which is reached in 3 hours by bus from Lanzhou bus station. From there, you can also go to Qinghai or northern Sichuan. The Tibetan village around the monastery is perfectly preserved and hosts an endless crowd of pilgrims. It is even the largest Tibetan monastery outside Tibet. A magical place.The Tibetan New Year is celebrated in large pumps. Alongside the Tibetan village has developed a small Chinese town, which is as uninteresting as other mushrooms in the rest of the country.
